Planting Trees for Better Health in Cleveland

On October 16, GSGP partnered with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy (WRLC) and Cleveland Tree Coalition to plant 32 trees in Cleveland’s St. Clair Superior neighborhood. These trees were planted as part of an ongoing initiative to promote the public health benefits of trees with the Cleveland Clinic and Cleveland Tree Coalition.

A growing body of research indicates that urban trees can be a cost-effective solution to deliver multiple positive outcomes. Investment in the planning and management of urban trees can pay dividends for health, the environment, and local economies. The trees planted will help bring the many health benefits trees provide to another community in the Great Lakes St. Lawrence region.
